“ I'm only updating my review so I can tell you about the dish I just tried. Mi Gusto was wonderful! Take a chili rellano stuffed with queso blanco and split open the top. Cover it in grilled onions and bell peppers. Now cover that in grilled shrimp and ranchero sauce. I was in tummy heaven. Absolutely delicious! White rice and black beans on the side. Definitely worth trying. Enjoy! Yup, they're still 4 star. And George, the owner, is having a baby! Congratulations Dad! ”
“ From the moment we walked in the door we were greeted with the most friendly employees! All of the employees worked together to take care of us so well! The food didn't take too long and it was delicious! The cookies are so good, got some to take home! ”
“ I was driving by and my friend suggested we try as she was visiting from NY. That was 2 weeks ago and I've already been back lol. The street tacos are simply amazing! The beef is so tender and tasty! The queso is delish and the service was awesome. Margarita was really good too! Will be back ”
“ The service was good and the food was great!! Cold draft, hot food even though we came one hour before closing. Music wasn't too loud like some restaurants. Definitely recommend! ”
“ Food delicious and served hot. Waitress came and checked often served with a smile. Quiet and calm. ”
“ I usually order Cuban food because it's so different and tasty, all the flavors just go perfectly together. I've been going since they opened up on N.1st. I just realized that I hadn't given them a review, here it is. ”
“ Wow, just wow! This Ropa Vieja has me feeling like I'm back in Miami in little Cuba, and wishing I could make a trip to Havana. The congris is delicious. You don't find good, authentic Cuban cuisine much in Texas, but this place has it figured out. The ambiance is the perfect balance of Tex-Mex and Cuban, and I love the new location. My beer hasn't reached below 1/4 full before another was ready for me. Talk about great service! I look forward to meandering my way through the rest of the menu in the near future. ”
“ Someone recommended Don Luis Cafe a couple of months ago, but I did not feel compelled to visit the restaurant judging from the outside. But I learned a lesson, "Don't judge a book. by its cover," that perfectly fits this restaurant. Their food is delicious! I tried their "Acapulco" plate. The tilapia was as fresh as if it had been caught today. The dish had abundant and tasty food. I tried their homemade "Mojo" dressing for my salad, a fusion of lemon and herbs that transforms the whole experience. I would come back to this cafe and recommend it. Music is quiet and takes you to Cuba. Service is kind and fast. The place is clean and pleasant. Warning: Avoid the chips and salsa; you have many other options to eat on the menu. The chips are super hard, and the salsa tastes like ketchup with water. If you try them, they will make you sad. ”
